On August 8th, Jace and JP became husband and wife at a beautiful outdoor wedding overlooking Jace’s parent’s lake. Yes, it’s their own lake… they made it themselves. It was a magnificent wedding, with so many intricate details. I was in heaven shooting so many details of the wedding…. It was a warm day with no rain. Perfect for a summer outdoor wedding.

I know I’m a little slow at saying so, but thank you Jace and JP for letting me be a part of your day. Micah and I had so much fun running around trying to catch all the parts of your day so you can remember them vividly forever!

I love the transformation during a wedding…. the bride goes down the aisle with her daddy and comes back down the aisle with her husband. Such a symbolic procession.

When Eric took a trip to South Carolina a couple weeks ago, I took advantage of an opportunity for a weekend with my girlfriend Micah. We have a LOT in common and she’s a photographer too, so we always have TONS to talk about. So, we headed on a road trip to San Antonio where we shot an outdoor wedding at a beautiful ranch. We had a slight cold front come in (I think it was actually below 100 degrees…. ha!) so we didn’t suffer too much. Actually, it wasn’t bad at all! Enjoyable, really.

Cody and Kim were such troopers throughout the day. Even though they got quite warm, they were so sweet and kind to allow us plenty of time to shoot their after-wedding shots and stretch our creative eyes. The whole wedding was a big party and so fun. Micah and I had a great weekend (even if we did take about an hour “detour” on the way up there… and had to leave super early the morning after the wedding because her car was acting funny…. haha). Good times with a great friend doing one of my favorite things in the world. Love it. Here is Cody and Kim’s Wedding!

And of course, shout out to Micah!

I went to high school with Adrian and John. Not to toot my own horn, but Adrian and I played on the Class 4A State Champion Volleyball team together. Oh yes. She was the setter and I played defensive specialist.  That’s right.! So, of course, I have a special place in my heart for this girl.

And then, there’s John…. also an all-star athlete in high school. He was on the football team. Not just the football team, but THE football team. Yup. Where I come from, it’s ALL about football. John was a star. He still is, of course, because he’s marrying Adrian.

These guys decided to get married on the 4th of July and I really enjoyed getting to spend the holiday with them! Thank you both so much for asking me to document your day! I had a blast and it was great to see you both again!

Okay maybe THIS is my favorite of the day.

Ryan had a crush on Amy in high school. She was his dream girl. In my opinion, Amy was probably a lot of guys’ dream girl. I mean, she’s got a lot going for her. When Amy and Ryan graduated (they were in the same class), they both decided to go to Tarleton State University and enter the nursing program, where they crossed paths more than they expected. Somewhere along the way, Ryan’s humor, kindness, and godliness attracted Amy to him. As Ryan and Amy developed their relationship, Amy realized what a great catch she had, and Ryan got the girl of his dreams. On June 13th, they had such a fun and beautiful wedding and I was so honored to capture the day for them. Enjoy getting to see some of Amy and Ryan’s day.

Guess what tomorrow is? My last day of school. EVER. Eric and I will be graduates on May 9th. Aren’t we smart? LOL. It’s been a great season of life, but I’m ready to move on.
