****** 9 DAYS AND COUNTING UNTIL THE LAUNCH *******

I went to high school with Lensie. She was a year younger than me, but we crossed paths a lot since we had mutual friends, and we became friends along the way. Lensie was always sweet, seemingly quiet, and very very smart. She’s one of those girls with an incredible amount of both natural beauty and book sense…. She could probably win a beauty contest and spelling bee in the same hour and never take pride in either of them. Lensie, she’s just beautiful inside and out.

I met Drew in college. He and Eric (my hubby) were in the same dorm and played a lot of late night poker together. We were all on the same intramural football and softball teams, so we spent quite a bit of time together. Drew always cracked me up. He and Eric are a lot alike in that they are both competitive and comedic…. so of course, we were all friends. When I first saw Drew and Lensie together, we were all at Paradigm, a Thursday night college Bible study. I never would have put the two together in my own mind, but seeing them together was just normal. It just fit. Like two puzzle pieces. Lensie’s sweet and gentle spirit combined with Drew’s leadership qualities just made for a perfect match. It was no surprise to me when I found out they were getting married.

What did surprise me was after Lensie booked me to do their wedding, I found out she was related to both Mikka and JP, whose weddings I was also booked to shoot. CRAZY! So, I happily agreed to document Drew and Lensie’s adventure to wedded bliss. We shot their engagement session back in August and had a blast. I knew the wedding was going to be super fun. Of course, it was. So… you want to see pictures, don’t you? Good, because of got some for you!

First, I want to say thank you so much to Drew and Lensie for trusting me with you wedding images. It really is a priveledge to be chosen to document someones journey. Really. I know I say it all the time, but I truly mean it from the bottom of my heart. You bless me by allowing me to photograph you! So thank you again. I pray for God to bless your marriage immensly. Together, you will have amazing opportunities for ministry and I pray that you can fulfill them and bless God and others. Love you guys!!

I have been a busy bee lately! Actually, it’s not just me…. it’s Micah, too. We’ve both been working so hard lately. On what, you ask? Well, on something awesome. Something exciting. Something NEW and FUN! I’m 100% sure they you are all going to love it. So you want to see what we’ve been doing? Well here’s a teeny-tiny bit of the surprise….

And since posts are better with pictures, here’s a sneak peek from Drew & Lensie’s wedding!

What an honor it was for me to photograph Kellen and Stephanie’s Christmas week wedding. I went to high school with these two lovebirds (they’ve been dating since high school) and I haven’t gotten to catch up with them in several years. Their wedding day was so special and fun. Stephanie was an ideal bride. She was SO calm and relaxed the entire day. Just sweetly glided throughout the day, it seemed. Kellen was great, too. He and his groomsmen spent the afternoon laughing and joking with each other. Kellen and Stephanie are a sweet match and I’m so glad I get to call them friends! At the wedding, I got to see lots of people that I haven’t seen in a long time. A lot of which had no idea I was doing photography. It’s definitely crazy where my life has gone in the last couple of years, but I’m so excited about this journey!

Congratulations to Stephanie and Kellen. I wish you both the best in your marriage. I hope that I can document all the different stages in your life! Ya’ll are precious!!

I’ve been super busy lately, but I’m working on post processing Stephanie and Kellen’s wedding from late December. Here is a quick sneak peek of a picture from their special day! Check back soon for the full wedding post!

Julie and John Mark had quite a party after the wedding. My second shooter Micah and I had an awesome time photographing all the laughing, dancing, and partying that happened at this reception. Like I said before, I really enjoyed getting to see all my cheerleading buddies again (we took a picture together, so be looking for it)! Also, get ready for a dancing reception entrance, a sweet father/daughter dance, and a grandpa who was passing around his flask!
