Payton was so fun to hang around and shoot! She invited her 3 best friends to join her at the photoshoot and we got some really fun pictures (and made fun memories) of these girls together. I think friendship between women is so important and special when you are close and can share anything with each other. I know that these girls are so close and are really going to miss each other next year at college! Payton is such a beautiful girl and I know she is really going to have a lot of fun next year at school! Thanks, Payton, for letting me hang out with you and document your Senior year! You rock, girl!

Shelby: Senior

April 6, 2010

It has been raining seniors lately! :) I love doing senior shoots because each senior is so excited about their future and what doing a senior photoshoot represents. Shelby’s mom reminded me how it’s bittersweet to see your child get their senior pictures done… as they are both proud for what they’ve accomplished, yet it is a little sad that their kiddos are about to fly the coup! I was more than honored to take Shelby’s pictures (Shelby is the sister of Ryan, from Ryan Amy’s wedding last year). Shelby, you are so sweet and beautiful and I wish you tons of luck next year wherever you go! Blessings!

Chaney: Senior

March 26, 2010

What do ticks and theatre have in common? Well, nothing really…. but, in this case, they do. Sort of. You see, Chaney’s mom contacted me a while back to schedule a senior session, and finally after a few weeks of figuring out schedules and weather, we finally got together! Chaney has spent a lot of time doing theater and requested to shoot inside the Opera House where she has performed several times in various plays. I know, she’s super talented! We also went around other places in Granbury shooting in the beautiful weather. Somewhere along the way, me being… ME…. I told Chaney that one time after coming home from a camping trip, I found a tick under my arm. I know, I know… telling a client that you’ve had a tick is NOT the most professional OR intriguing thing to talk about. But, that’s why Chaney has been one of my favorite seniors to photograph. She was laid back, go-with-the-flow, and laughed with me when I said things that I probably shouldn’t (not to mention almost getting my eye poked out by a branch that swung back and hit me when I was trying to move it). I’m a dork and a clutz, but hey, since I embrace it, you might as well too!

Needless to say, Chaney has an amazing personality and is quite a girl. I am so blessed to have met her and I’m so thankful to be able to photograph people like her! Thank you Casey and Chaney for trusting me to document your lives! I think behind all the tick-talk we got some genuine smiles! :)

Michael: Senior

March 25, 2010

I cannot believe Michael is a senior this year and about to graduate! Michael is Eric’s little brother, who was only 14 when Eric & I started dating. Since he’s become my brother-in-law, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know what he’s all about and of course, giving him a hard time like all big sisters are supposed to do. ;)

Michael is going to Tarleton next year (GO TEXANS!), so he will be only 30 minutes down the road. I can’t wait to be able to see him more often and for him to start serving at StoneWater with us! Michael, thanks for spending spring break with us! Sorry our session got cut short by the sun, but I hope you find some pictures you like! Love ya!

And this is my precious (do you sense the sarcasm?) husband with his March Madness Mustache. Our church held a contest for the best Mustache during March Madness. Eric couldn’t enter the contest to win since he is on staff, but he won in my books. Look at him. He looks like a biker. WOW. Glad it’s gone now, but here’s something to remember it by!

Michael is into Motocross and dirt bikes and apparently his Motocross buddies call him Moose. I think they look alike, don’t you?

AND he’s super-talented at making things! He does a lot of woodworking and crafting. He makes these Texas signs and they are really cool! If you are interested in purchasing one, shoot me an email!

Noell: Senior

November 3, 2009

I’ve never post processed so many photos so easily, and it’s not because I’m some genius photographer that knows everything there is to know. No, it’s because of Noell. She is one amazing gal. She is confident, beautiful, and down-to-earth. Plus, she knew how to work it in front of the camera. AND… I  normally have to spend time “perfecting” people’s faces (aka, getting rid of our beloved friend, the zit) - but not on Noell. Yeah, it’s just wrong when a senior in high school has no zits. I’m still breaking out like a 13 year old. (Sigh…) Oh Noell. You are beautiful inside and out. Thank you (and Brandyn!) so much for letting me spend a beautiful morning with you, capturing your sweet self in your senior year. You guys rock!

Meet Noell!

Noell’s best friend also came along for the shoot and I grabbed a few of the two of them together. There is something special about two girls who share a friendship. I truly find those relationships invaluable… so it was so neat to see them two together!

Misti: Smile. If it helps, I'm 33 and I'm still breaking out. Sigh. Great shots - I love the "hobbit hole" one - frames her nicely!

Brandyn: Ashley, you have an awesome gift with the pictures you bless us with. Noell's pictures are beautiful. Thank you for such an amazing experience.

Toni Crisman: WOW, my niece has always been beautiful but these pictures truely capture her beauty. I have a 10th grader and I believe now that I know who will be shooting his senior pics....Love u Noell
