Weston: Family

May 13, 2010

I had the pleasure of meeting up with the Weston family for a little fun at the park! They told me that they wanted pictures that were very natural and relaxed… luckily, that is SO my specialty! :)

There are so many things that are rewarding about my job, but one of the most important things to me is how I get to make so many new friends through photographing them. While spending time with this family, I knew they were people that would become good friends of mine. I know that the Weston’s are a couple that Eric and I will really enjoy getting to know… I hope the feeling is mutual! ;)

Thank you Shawndi for allowing me to capture your family during this time! Ya’ll are so special and I hope you love your images!

Sledge: Family

April 21, 2010

Susan said her extended family has been trying to get together for 10 years to take a group picture. You can see why I felt honored for her to email and ask me to capture her growing family! What was even more cool, is that she and her family have owned a farm in Paluxy for decades that has some very historic farming equipment on the land! Susan told me that one of the tractors on the land was the first one in their county. Their family has also turned an old train car into a house…. um… SO awesome!

Susan, I really enjoyed getting to photograph you and your family! I hope that you treasure these images! :)

Lots of animals on the farm! I SOO would love to have them around all the time at my house….

Susan told me that when she thinks of her grandma, she thinks of her hands. I thought it was so special to have a picture of everyone’s hands together!

Traci: Maternity

January 14, 2010

When I take pictures of women who are going to have a baby, I never cease to be amazed at the miracles that God can do. The fact that a little tiny human is growing inside a belly is the craziest thing to me. I mean seriously. Think about it. It’s insane. I also LOVE the way a future mother glows when they talk about their baby. Traci definitely was glowing. Traci and Sam are going to have little baby boy, Britton, in a little over a month. I’m 100% positive when I say that he will have amazing parents. Yes, he definitely will.

Not only will he receive all the love, comfort, and wisdom any child needs while growing up, he will also have two parents who know what to do when a little boy gets hurt (and we all know that little boys WILL get hurt). Traci is a nurse and Sam is a paramedic, which means they will know how to treat every “ow-ies” and “boo-boos” that comes along the way.  I know that little Britton will have a heck of a time convincing his parents that he might to live when he gets a scraped knee. :)

Traci and Sam, thank you so much for letting me tag along in your adventure. It’s so exciting to get to photograph such a miracle from the Lord. You both are going to be such amazing parents and I can’t wait to meet Britton!

Clinkscale: Family

December 10, 2009

The location a family picks for a photo shoot says a lot about them. Well, to me anyway. Rustic? They’re a close, country-loving family and usually laid back. Downtown? A family up for adventure, close knit, and trendy. Parks/Play Areas? Fun. Fun. Fun…. Playful, Exciting, Adoring. I’m sure this doesn’t describe EVERY family, but it seems to be a trend among my clients. I LOVE each family’s different styles and characteristics. I also love new places to shoot, but these are the top 3 places my clients choose. The Clinkscale’s are the playful/fun family.

The Clinkscale’s have two boys. With boys, you KNOW there is always playing involved! They brought a football to toss around before/during the shoot which was super fun to catch. I also loved how they were intrigued by squirells… birds…. nature…. so boy-ish. I just adore little boys. Anyway, thank you Clinkscale family for letting me grab some shots of you guys this fall! I was so blessed by the time we spent together! I hope you find some pictures you love!

I just love how candid and playful this moment before the “real” shot was. Those are the best shots, in my opinion!

I told this little boy there was a monkey in my camera…. he SAW it. Look at those eyes! I promise, no retouching to the eyes! Oh, and for you photographers who love to hear nerdy talk… (like me) LOL… this pic was shot with my Canon 24-70 2.8… you can see how the left eye is DEF the focal point. I love to shoot wide open! That is TACK sharp!

Joel and Shelby: Couple

November 30, 2009

Joel and Shelby are such amazing servants at our church and I just really wanted to bless them with some photos for their family…. so we did this session. After that photoshoot I decided that I wanted to grab a few of just the two lovebirds, so we scheduled another photoshoot. So, one more time, let’s hear it for the Tischausers!

Chelsea McGowan: Never refrain from posting the "too sweet". That's the best shot of the bunch!

Shelley Horan: I agree!! They are all good but the "too swee" really is the best. They look so in love.....

Trudy Schultz: I think you had as much fun as they did with this shoot! They are all good shots, and I agree about 'never refrain from posting the "too sweet"'
