The Schulze family was so special for me to photograph. You see, the session was in celebration of a 50 year anniversary celebration! Anytime I get to spend time with a couple that has been married for a long time, I love to ask for wisdom when it comes to marriage. I asked Mrs. Schulze what was her #1 piece of advice after 50 years of marriage. She said “Always put God first. Everything else will follow.” What truth. And what an honor to capture this entire family tree through photography.

Enjoy!

Lyndsey and I play on the same church league softball team. I know what you are thinking. “Oh, Church League. How cute.” No. You OBVIOUSLY don’t know our church. I’ve never seen a more competitive church group in all of my life, and I love it. Well, sometimes it’s a little bit of pressure. I mean, when you go up to bat and know that when everyone tells you “Hey, it’s okay, you’ll do better next time.” They are actually calculating how much harder I (or… ahem….some person) has made it for the team to take the lead in that inning. But, I mean, it’s okay to lose, right? Wrong. Not in this church league.

So Lyndsey is a great fit for the team. She looks like a cute gal who threw on some athletic clothes and happened to be able to show up for the game that night. I mean, sure, she’s athletic looking, but no one would guess she’s practically the secret weapon in the outfield. Seriously, this girl is AWESOME! I’m usually the one over in right field cheering her on in between the time I’m picking blades of grass and twirling the gum in my mouth. Well, not exactly, but the point is, she’s got some mad skills!

When Lyndsey asked me if I could photograph her family, I was super excited! I had been able to meet them at some of the softball games, so I immediately started thinking of session ideas. The session ended up being only half an hour, due to the overcoming desire for the McDonald’s playground (you know how it is… McDonalds ROCKS!),  but I love what we got! Enjoy!caubleblog21

With Brandi’s (Brandi & Jesse are in our lifegroup) entire family making an appearance for the Thanksgiving holiday, Brandi and her sister knew it would be the perfect time for pictures. So, the day after Thanksgiving, I went out to Brandi & Jesse’s beautiful house and got to photograph their sweet family. I had such a good time hanging out with them, getting pictures of their whole clan together, and also snagging pictures of each individual family.

Finally I have time to blog some of the family pictures since the Christmas rush! Enjoy! :D

misti: Beautiful! What fun & what beautiful landscape!

Nanci Kulczycki: Breathtaking, made me cry.

Lissa O.: gorgeous family.

I know Nacole thought I was crazy when I told her to meet me at the car wash for the start of their family session. Sometimes photographers find the craziest places for pictures, but they turn out so fun! I like to say that I’m exercising my creativity despite the crazy responses I might get. Fortunately, Nacole didn’t hesitate for a second when she heard my suggestion! She said that she remembered when I did her son’s session in a laudromat, and said if pictures in a place where you do laundry turn out good, then pictures where you wash your car can turn out good too! That’s the spirit! :)

So off we went to the car wash, then we headed to other fun places! The two boys weren’t thrilled to have to stop and take time for pictures, but I think we got a lot of fun action shots! Thanks Jeremy & Nacole for lettting me capture you family again! Ya’ll are so special to me!

Jennifer and Danny have been friends of mine and Eric’s since we moved to Granbury. I trained for a half marathon with Jennifer and some other women from our church. I remember one night some of the girls even spent the night at Jennifer’s house when Danny was out of town for work. I’ve always felt welcomed and loved by the Caudle family. I even recall how their son, Will, had such a little country accent when he was younger. It would make me giggle how he made me feel like I wasn’t a “hick” (because we all know - and love - that I am, right??). Their family is so special to me, and it was an honor to photograph them!

Caudle family, I hope you love your images! Ya’ll are so awesome!
