Lucky me, I got the pleasure of photographing the Caywood family the day before they moved to Millry, Alabama! We had fun walking around the park they spent a lot of time at as a family during their time in Granbury. Garrett and Betti are going to be working in the youth ministry at a church in Millry and were just beaming with excitement over what the Lord is doing in their lives. I really enjoyed spending the morning with them and just hearing about all the excitement.

It was so fun to capture their sweet family as they transition into the next season of life. Betti and Garrett, I pray huge blessings over you, your new church family, and of course the students you will be working with! Keep me updated on all that God does through you guys!

In order to honor a very special dog, I interrupt my normal blogging pattern. This family wasn’t the next in line for blogging, but I wanted to do a special blog. I hope that’s okay with everyone. My new friends, Amber & Garrett, emailed me not too long ago asking if I could do a photoshoot with them and their dogs! Well, of course I said yes. I LOVE little doggies. Or big doggies. Or animals in general (just ask my photography partner, Micah… she laughs at how much compassion I have for animals… and how much I desire to take their pictures… HA!). Anyway, when I found out a little more about their dog, Vido, I was even more compelled to squeeze in a photoshoot for them!

Garrett got Vido when he was 8 years old. All together, he has been in the Wiginton family for FIFTEEN YEARS! Since Garrett and Amber got married, Amber also became the adoptive mom to Vido and they were all very happy together. Recently, they found out that Vido had a tumor in his stomach and he did not have very much longer to live. Thankfully, in order to remember Vido and his happy-go-lucky attitude, we got to have a photoshoot of all of them together.

It is with deep regret that I tell you that Vido had to be put to sleep yesterday. Amber and Garrett, I know you will miss him so much, but I pray that these photographs will bring joy to you! It is with pleasure that I present: Vido!!

Tanner & Morgan: Couple

June 25, 2010

Tanner & Morgan are so special to me. Their family has been on my blog NUMEROUS times… which is such a compliment because that means they keep coming back to me for their photography needs. They were actually one of the very first families I photographed when starting out and I’ve been able to watch their kids grow up! Tanner entered the army about a year ago and so their family has seen a lot of changes recently. One of the biggest changes is that they will be moving to Kentucky, where Tanner will be stationed! I know that their families will miss them incredibly (and me too!), but hopefully we will see them back here often.

For a special treat, Morgan scheduled a “Couples” session for just the two of them so we could get some really sweet pictures of them together. I SO enjoyed letting them love on each other in front of me and getting to capture that for them! We got so many awesome shots, I can’t wait to see which ones Morgan orders for her new home!

Morgan & Tanner, Eric & I love you both and are always here for you guys! Ya’ll are such an inspiration to so many couples and we pray the best for you two in the future! Thank you, Tanner, for serving our country and thank you, Morgan, for being such a strong army wife! I hope you LLOOOVVVEEE your pictures!

Sprayberry: Family

June 3, 2010

The Sprayberry’s are a very special family to me, and it was SUCH a joy to be able to photograph them! Jen and I meet [almost] every other week to hold each other accountable on our lives, our marriages, our relationships with the Lord as well as lots of other things. We always always always share a ton of laughter and, of course, a lot of food and dessert. :) Jen is so special to me and I’m so thanful for her frienship (I love you, Jen!).

My husband and Justin also work at StoneWater church together, as Justin is the Executive Pastor! Justin & Jen’s kids are always hanging around on Sunday morning and Eric loves to play with them and give them a hard time. It’s so cool to see my hubby with kids, because I know he’s going to be a great dad someday. Jen and Justin are SUCH an amazing example of how to be godly parents and raise up your children in the way of the Word! They have 4 little ones (fun fact… Justin & Jen got pregnant with twins on their honeymoon) and they are all so unique and amazing.

Thanks Jen & Justin for letting me have so much fun with you guys capturing your family through photographs! Ya’ll are such a blessing to me and I’m so thankful to call you friends!! Love you guys! Hope you enjoy your pictures!

Rodriguez: Family

May 20, 2010

What’s better than flowers on Mother’s Day? A gift certificate for a photo session! Her daughter, Angela (who is appearing on the blog for the 2nd time) was so thoughtful of her mom this Mother’s Day. She and her brother and sister rounded the troups together (aka, put their ‘noggins and money together) and bought their mom and family session! I LOVED the idea! So, last weekend we did a shoot at their house - the one they’ve lived in growing up. Angela’s mom and dad have been married for 27 years (AWESOME!) and are setting a good example in marriage for all three of their kids.
It was such a joy to photograph the Rodriguez family! Angela, thanks for lining all this up for your mom. I know she’s going to treasure these forever!
