Joshua & Lyndsey: Engaged

December 17, 2009

I’ve been accused of being the person that says “That’s funny!”… a lot. Let me explain. We something is funny, but doesn’t make me laugh out loud, I will say “that’s funny!” It’s not that I don’t think something is funny, because I actually am laughing…. on this inside. So, during a funny movie, I might one minute be belly laughing, and the next minute have a poker face. Eric has often looked over to say “Your not laughing!” To which I reply, “not on the outside!” I don’t know why sometimes I don’t laugh out loud. It just has to be THAT funny for me to laugh really loud. So instead, if something is funny and I’m not laughing out loud, I will say “that’s funny!” Yeah, I might we weird to some of you. Or maybe I just unveiled your secret, too. Hehe.

Well, I have to say, with Joshua and Lyndsey, I had a LOT of belly laughs. They are THAT funny. I seriously was laughing the whole time! I don’t know what it was they did or said, but they knew how to get it out of me. I also LOVED how Joshua would bust out some sort of joke and Lyndsey would affectionately giggle at her man. So sweet.

Lyndsey and Josh are an amazing couple. They are both students in Abilene and have a passion for the Lord. I’m SO excited to have met them and to be documenting their journey to wedded bliss! Thank you, J & L for the awesome time at Sundance Square (and for helping me not get lost)! I hope you love your pictures!!!

Joel and Shelby: Couple

November 30, 2009

Joel and Shelby are such amazing servants at our church and I just really wanted to bless them with some photos for their family…. so we did this session. After that photoshoot I decided that I wanted to grab a few of just the two lovebirds, so we scheduled another photoshoot. So, one more time, let’s hear it for the Tischausers!

Cherry: Family

October 15, 2009

Nichole contacted me a few weeks ago wondering if I would be able to do some family photos for them. Nichole and I knew each other from a couple years ago when we were both training for a (cough, cough, gulp)… half marathon. Yes, I did run 13.2 miles or something crazy like that a couple years ago. And now, well, I’m lucky to work out for 13.2 minutes. Just kidding. Kind of.

Anyway, the sweet Cherry (no pun intended) family met me last week to take some pictures and it happened to be one of the coolest days of fall yet. They were probably thinking I was silly, since it was maybe 58 degrees outside and I was bundled up like an Eskimo. Me and cold weather don’t get along to well, so if you hire me for something in the winter, prepare to be photographed by a snowman. A happy snowman. :) It didn’t phase them too much, though. They were so much fun and so great. I had such a great time shooting them. Oh, and by the way, their son is one of THE smartest little boys I’ve ever met. You should have heard him! He was telling me the town and state is grandmother lived in. Smarty pants. And only two years old. Future president right there, and I got to photograph him. :)

Thank you, Cherry family for letting me document this moment in what is but a whisper in your lives. I hope that you will cherish these photos as they remind you of the memories you are creating on this very day.

John Mark & Julie: Engagement

September 3, 2009

We sat there together, stretching, before the boys basketball game at Tarleton State University. The guy that I had been talking to on facebook for the past 2 weeks was coming to watch me cheer that night. I had never met him before and I was NERVOUS. I had only seen pictures of him, but I knew exactly who he was when I saw him walk in across the gym. “There he is!” I whispered to Julie. The rest of the night Julie kept telling me how Eric was stalking me from the stands. Julie was there when I met the guy that would eventually become my husband.

John Mark and Julie’s family were long time friends. JM & J had known about each other, but hadn’t really gotten a chance to spend time together. When they eventually met up, they knew that there was something special between the two of them. I got to experience them together for the first time this past weekend and I was so happy for Julie and how in love they both are with each other. I do not know two people who could be more perfect for one another!

John Mark and Julie, thank you so much for asking me to be with you on your wedding day in December. I cannot wait to witness (and capture) the moment when you are joined together forever. Ya’ll are such a sweet couple and mean a lot to me! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! (Finally, right?!!?)

I had to share this… Julie cracked me up because she let me know how I was smiling so big behind the camera… and she proceeded to give me an example of what I looked like! I can’t help it if I LOVE what I do! :)
