Charlee’s Birthday: Life

November 13, 2009

Charlee just turned TWO years old! She was actually a little cutie that danced the night away at Bill and Court’s wedding this past September. Her mom emailed me a few weeks ago to see if I could photograph her little girl at her birthday party! Well, of course! This is an ideal situation for parents who LOVE pictures, but don’t want to be responsible for holding the camera and capturing every moment of the entire party … or for trying to get everyone’s pictures while trying to be the host! I really had fun capturing the party (and got to eat some DELICIOUS cake!) while Charlee, family, and friends all enjoyed celebrating and having fun together! Thanks Lauren for asking me to join you at the party! Hope you see some images you love!

Here is the birthday girl.

Morgan: Family

September 23, 2009

Nacole and Jeremy are a sweet couple that have two sweet boys, full of vibrance and energy. I love how little boys are different than little girls. They want to run - all the time. They want to play - all the time. They want to show off - all the time. I mean, little girls want to do all of those things, of course, but not as recklessly, carelessly, and extensively as boys. I just love that about them. I wish… I just WISH I had the energy that little boys do. I would probably get a WHOLE lot more done in a workday. :)

So back to the Morgan family. I had such a wonderful time at the park taking some family photos for them. You could tell how much fun they all have together and how much love surrounded their family! Thank you, Nacole, for asking me to document this time in your familie’s lives! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Wyatt and Amie: Family

August 3, 2009

You know what I love about being a photographer for a year? Repeat clients. I LOVE my clients. I especially love when clients make photos an important part of their year. This family is particularly special because the daddy is in the band at church with Eric and I, the mommy had enough faith in me to trust me with photographing her family when I first started out, and the little girl was my first baby to shoot. If you wanna see their first session, go here. So, I was so excited to be able to shoot the two kids again. I love being able to see how they are growing up (and it’s ever so quickly). Wyatt’s birthday is coming up and they needed to get some shots for his invitation. He was super playful, so most of the shots I got of him were while he was playing. So cute. We had to hurry though because a HUGE storm came up and cut our session short. I grabbed several of Amie and they turned out super sweet. Anyway, thank you again Morgan and Tanner for trusting me with capturing your family as it grows!

Morgan: Thank you so much for taking these for us! They turned out GREAT!!! I can't wait to do it again!!! Maybe next time it wont decide to rain on us!! Thanks again for sharing your amazing talent with us!

Sara (GiGi) Galvan: Those are the cutest kids EVER! You did a great job....even with a 'runaway' subject, very HOT weather, and a storm! What a pro! Thanks so much!

THEY’RE HERE!!!

July 6, 2009

It’s Austin and Mackenzie…. my niece and nephew. They live in Florida and I only get to see them about twice a year. Okay, I know I say this every time I see them, but this time I REALLY mean it. THEY’RE HUUUGGGEEE!!! Seriously, they need to stop growing. Too big, I tell ya. Anyway, I’m so happy to see them again. I got the camera out the other day and they let me take a few pictures… so here are the dolls. :)

Pageant Princess

June 9, 2009

Hello blog readers! Guess what I did today? An INDOOR shoot. Yeah. I finally got to use my new lighting equipment that I got on clearance from my favorite camera supply store Ft. Worth Camera.  I think it went really well. My client was a 2 year old pageant princess who has won some serious titles in her age division in multiple pageants. She’s a little princess. Anyway, the front room of my house is my designated indoor studio and I’m so thankful that I’m able to use it! God is so cool for blessing us with our house. Seriously…. I truly am amazed and humbled. But anyway, here is a couple pictures of Cassie!

I’ve got a wedding to shoot this weekend in Grapevine and I’m really excited about it. It’s Amy and Ryan’s wedding and I can’t wait to spend the day with them. I also can’t wait to post Amy’s bridals! I’ve been waiting weeks!!! Anyway, I’m getting all of my equipment together for the wedding. If you are a photographer and are interested in what’s in my bag, I’ll be taking:

In my Shootsac:

Canon 50D (Have a 40D for backup)

Canon 24-70 2.8

Canon 50 1.8

Sigma 10-22 4.5

(Renting a Canon 70-200 2.8)

580 EXII Speedlight

Along with lots of memory cards and batteries!

Also, I know this is a long blog already but I wanted to share a picture of my husband playing drums with Claybourne Ross and Chic0 (Josh) McDaniel at Ribshack BBQ a couple weekends ago. They did so great playing a plethora of tunes…. I really enjoyed it! I thought this picture was cute of all the boys jammin’ on stage. My hubby can rock a guitar, the piano, the drums….. is there anything he can’t do musically? Maybe the harp? LOL! Everyone have a great week!
